Museum of Fire Doll, Bear and Craft Fair

Saturday 26 – Sunday 27 October, Museum of Fire, Penrith

The Doll Collectors’ Club of NSW will have a stall at the Museum of Fire Doll, Bear and Craft Fair, with assorted dolls and craft items for sale. The fair is held on the last weekend of October, 9-4 on Saturday and 9-3 on Sunday. Drop by and say hello!

Annual Christmas Party

December 7th, Granville Town Hall

Once again, we are holding our annual Christmas party at the Granville Town Hall, including a fully catered sit-down lunch with all the trimmings. Tickets are available from Ann Murray $20 – please let her know if you are coming so we can prepare ahead.

Also on the day, our Christmas raffle and Club competitions: categories are Angels, Dolls in Uniform, and Christmas Decoration.

A reminder: there is no General Meeting held in January, the first meeting in 2020 will be held on February 1st.

Betty Viazim Handcraft Competition

March 7th 2020, Granville Town Hall

Members, get busy with your needles for the 22nd Annual Betty Viazim Handcraft Competition, to be held in March 2020. Sections for this year’s competition are as follows:

  1. Dressed Baby Doll – knitted or crocheted outfit
  2. Dressed Doll – outfit hand or machine sewn
  3. Quilted Bag
  4. Knitted Animal – not a Teddy Bear
  5. Embroidered Cushion – any size
  6. Hat for a Doll – not knitted or crocheted
  7. Under 12 years – A simple small felt bunny, pattern and felt supplied.

In sections 1 and 2, clothing only will be judged. Yarns, fabrics, and scale must be appropriate to the size and style of the doll.

Entry fee $2 per item, all entries must be the member’s own work and not entered before.

Entries to be submitted between 9:30am-10:00am Saturday March 10th, or by prior arrangement with the coordinator.
